One to One jewellery tuition with Amanda Doughty

One day jewellery making course in Amanda’s workshop in central Brighton where Amanda will guide you on how to make a piece of jewellery. You will learn how to use traditional jewellery tools on this one day workshop, including; cutting, filing, soldering, hammering, polishing.

Whether you are a complete beginner, or a jeweller who would like to improve your skills, this day is an ideal opportunity to make and create something unique.

Date to be arranged.
The hours are 10 – 5pm. (with one hour for lunch).

The cost of the day includes a pre meeting either by visiting the workshop or via facetime where you can discuss the design of what you would like to make during the day. This meeting will be held at least a week beforehand. It gives Amanda the opportunity to purchase the metal on your behalf, which will be needed of this workshop.

Important: Metal, stones or beads are not included in this price.
It will be purchased on your behalf from Amandas trusted suppliers.

Any extra jewellery services needed after the days making are also not included and can be discussed at the pre meeting. For example: stone setting , assay, gold plating or engraving. Please note that each service can take a few weeks to complete.

Amanda’s workshop is in the heart of Brighton, perfect for heading out to lunch! Or bring yourself a packed lunch.

Please be prepared to work hard and get mucky and make sure you wear suitable shoes and clothes. The workshop itself is on the 4 th floor of a building, unfortunately at this time it has no working lift.
